Ground Burial Space Guidelines
We know how meaningful it is to honor loved ones with flowers, memorials, and personal tributes. To keep the grounds beautiful for all families and to ensure maintenance can be done safely, we ask that decorations stay within 12 inches of the headstone and avoid breakable items like glass.
Our goal is never to remove meaningful items, but some items must be moved if they block mowing or trimming. We encourage simple, sturdy decorations that can withstand weather and won’t be accidentally damaged.
Babyland Guidelines
Babyland is one of the most tender areas in our cemeteries, and we take great care in maintaining it. Because the spaces are small and trimmed by hand, we ask that decorations be kept very simple.
To ensure everything remains safe and undamaged, small toys and delicate items are discouraged. Our staff is committed to treating this area with the highest respect and will remove only what is necessary for maintenance or safety.
Veteran Section Rules
We deeply honor our veterans and are proud to partner with Elkhart County Veteran’s Affairs to maintain these dedicated spaces.
To preserve the uniform appearance of government-issued markers and ensure safety, only certain items are allowed. Families may place fresh-cut or modest artificial flowers, but breakable items, hooks, statues, or attachments to the government marker are not permitted.
These standards help us protect the dignity, consistency, and beauty of the Veteran Sections.
Mausoleum & Columbarium Guidelines
Our indoor and outdoor mausoleums and columbarium offer peaceful, dignified resting places. To maintain their beauty and prevent damage, only porcelain photos, bronze emblems, and official veteran markers may be attached to the crypt fronts.
While decorative items cannot be affixed, families may place small tributes at the base of the crypt column, keeping in mind this shared space is used by other grieving families.
Inside the mausoleum, small vase tables are available for flowers or photos, with a height limit of five inches.
If you're ever unsure whether something is allowed, please reach out — we’re happy to guide you.
