The Elkhart Police Department arrested a 29-year-old man after responding to a shots fired call yesterday evening at 2801 Toledo Rd, Elkhart. No injuries were reported.

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that occurred after a vehicle fleeing at a high rate of speed from an Elkhart Police Department officer struck another vehicle at CR 9/CR 26 earlier this morning, May 30, 2026.
