Suspect Arrested and Charged with Five Felony Counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material After Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Investigation, 4.10.26
The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a Goshen man with five felony Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material counts after the Elkhart Police Department arrested him as part of an Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigation.
An Elkhart Police Department officer and member of the Elkhart Police Department Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received and reviewed an ICAC tip of possible child sex abuse material connected with an IP address in the City of Goshen. On April 8, 2026, Elkhart Police Department and Goshen Police Department officers executed a search warrant for electronic devices at a residence in the 1800 block of Amberwood Dr, Goshen. Officers arrested John P. Hussey, 65 years old, on April 8th and booked him into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges in connection with this investigation.
The Elkhart County Prosecutor’s Office subsequently filed formal criminal charges against him in Elkhart Superior Court (case no. 20D03-2604-F6-000405). John Hussey was charged with 5 counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material, each a Level 6 Felony.
An Elkhart County judicial officer previously set his bond at $10,000 surety. He has subsequently posted bond. Please be advised that under Indiana law an individual is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
