News Release-Deceased Individual Discovered, Elkhart County Homicide Unit Investigating, 6.10.26

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a body was discovered near the 2600 block of Links Dr, Elkhart.

This afternoon, at approximately 2:30 p.m., the Elkhart City 911 Communications Center received a 911 phone call reporting a body found in the woods near the 2600 block of Links Dr. Elkhart Police Department officers and first responders dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter. Upon arrival, officers observed a partially decomposed male body in the woods at this location.

At this time the man has not been identified.  The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated, per protocol, and is handling this investigation. This remains an ongoing investigation.
